Family Yoga by Next Generation Yoga with Cindy Lesher
This class combines traditional yoga (poses, breathing, meditation) with creative elements (creative movement, learning, visualization, sensory integration, and fun stuff) that make each class unique, fun, and appropriate for kids age 2 and older. This class is designed to be for an adult (parent, grandparent, caregiver) to participate along with the child.
Children age 2 - 7 and parents/caregivers come together in a lighthearted environment for individual, partner and family Yoga fun! Age and developmentally appropriate poses, animated breathing exercises and soothing relaxation techniques awaken the inner-child of all age participants. Laughter and love fill each class and is sure to inspire the entire family’s relationship. This bonding class is open to extended family members and caregivers too!
Older children will also enjoy learning and developing their yoga skills while they spend time with their parents or caregivers.
Classes will be held outdoors on the Lawn area beside the Mansion with a view of the river. Rain dates will be used in the event of inclement weather. Participants will be notified via email if the rain date will need to be implemented.
- Participants should wear comfortable clothing. Dress for the weather, if it is cooler, bring a sweatshirt.
- You may also want to bring a water bottle.
- Bring a yoga mat or towel
Classes are at a rate of only $5.00 per person, per class. This class is being offered as part of the Park Rx series of programs sponsored by Highmark Blue Shield.
You may sign up for one session or all the sessions, it's up to you!
The rain date for the July 10th class will be July 24th. The rain date for the July 31st class will be August 7th. The rain date for the August 14th class will be August 21st.
You will be asked to accept a waiver to attend this class. This waiver will be for the adult and any accompanying children. For participants is under 18 years of age, the waiver should be accepted by the parent or guardian. In your post-registration email, you will receive links for the Next Generation Yoga waivers for completion prior to your class.
