Enjoy a guided walk at Detweiler Park by bringing extra awareness to the nature all around you!
Use your senses to stay connected while walking by bringing your attention to the sights, sounds and smells around you. What colors do you see? Be aware of the physical sensations of walking, maybe the crunching of leaves or twigs as you walk, feel the wind on your face and the sun at your back.
Your guide for this program is Melissa Fickes. Melissa has completed her Forest Therapy guide training and will be there inviting you to be mindful and experience the park with all your senses.
What you need to know:
- Wear comfortable clothing and footwear appropriate for walking in the forest.
- Bring a sweatshirt or jacket if the weather is cool.
