ABOUT ABOUT

Join us for fresh air, a walk in the park and an inflatable walk-thru colon! Yes, you read that right! We'll be discussing colon cancer prevention and are looking forward to an engaging program with this fabulous learning tool.

This Walk With A Doc program is designed to provide some general health information and a moderately-paced walk. This is a FREE walk, but we ask that you pre-register. This walk is appropriate for all ages and children are welcome to attend but should be accompanied by a responsible adult. Dogs are welcome as long as they are on a leash. All programs are on various educational health and wellness topics but are not meant to replace the healthcare advice of your primary care provider.

This is a rain-or-shine event but may be canceled if there are thunderstorms or other severe weather conditions. Should this be necessary all participants are notified by the email they use when registering at least one hour before the program start time.

The full walk will be approximately 2 miles; however, you can head back earlier to modify the length of your walk. Most of the walk will be flat, but there are some slightly elevated areas. The full walk is estimated to take approximately 1-hour based on the pace of the walkers. We encourage you to come out and join the walk for as long or as little as you desire.

Walk Leader: Holly G. Dolan, MAT, MCHES | Manager, Community Engagement | Office for Cancer Health Equity | Penn State College of Medicine
