ABOUT ABOUT

Join us for a walk at Veterans Park!

This Walk With A Doc program is designed to provide some general health information and a moderately-paced walk on the Capital Area Greenbelt. The walk is FREE, but we ask that you pre-register so we know how many participants to expect.

This is a rain-or-shine event but may be canceled if there are thunderstorms, high winds, snow, or ice. If there is a need to cancel participants will be notified via email. We do our best to make this notification 1-hour prior to the program start time.

The full walk will be approximately 2 miles; however, there is an option to head back earlier if you don’t want to walk the full walk. Most of the walk will be flat, but there are some slightly elevated areas. The full walk is estimated to take approximately 1-hour based on the pace of the walkers. We encourage you to come out and join the walk for as long or as little as you are able.

Dr. Cayce Onks from Penn State Hershey Medical Center will be our doctor for this program. He specializes in Family Medicine and Primary Care Sports Medicine and he is an Assistant Professor, Family and Community Medicine and Orthopedics and Rehabilitation.
