Join us for a walk at Boyd Big Tree Preserve

Date: Wednesday, September 7

Time: 5:30 - 6:30 PM

This Walk With A Doc program is designed to provide some general health information and a moderately-paced walk. The walk is FREE, but we ask that you pre-register so we know how many participants to expect.

Topic: "How to turn your walk into a workout"

Dr. Leader: Dr. Christine Brussock

This is a rain or shine event.

The full walk is estimated to take approximately 1-hour based on the pace of the walkers. We encourage you to come out and join the walk for as long or as little as you are able.

Things to Know Before you Go:

  • You may encounter slightly uneven terrain
  • Dress for the weather and wear comfortable supportive shoes.
  • Bring a bottle of water with you to stay hydrated. You may also bring your own snacks.
  • You may want to bring a hat, sunglasses, bug spray, and sunscreen.

This walk is being organized by Penbrook Borough, Susquehanna Township, Capital Area Greenbelt Association, and Dauphin County Parks & Recreation Department.

This walk is being supported as part of the Park Rx program sponsored by Highmark Blue Shield through the Dauphin County Parks & Recreation Department.
